Luke 21:34-36 NKJV
“But take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. For it will come as a snare on all those who dwell on the face of the whole earth. Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

It’s time to reset for the year 2023, and I am thankful for God’s revelations on this forum over the past years. My prayer is that His word will continue to come fresh on a weekly basis.
Today’s nugget serves as a calibration point for 2023. The Lord is saying its a year to be very attentive to the spirit for He will be speaking in diverse forms; through His word, through His Prophets, through the Holy Spirit, through dreams and visions, through daily ordinary occurrence (eg Jeremiah and the Potter in Jer 18;1-11)….. He will speak but will we hear?
There are instances in scripture where Jesus admonished the disciples to watch and pray. In each of these it was a warning to overcome the flesh, pay attention to the signs and most importantly to pray. The time has come for us to declutter our spiritual lives and truly listen. Every revelation we receive is like a string and each time we take it to the Lord in prayer, He helps us to weave the different strings together into a beautiful fabric of purpose.
I pray that as we watch and pray, God will reveal Himself and His purpose to us and for us.
Father, your word is like a lamp unto our feet, please lead us this year. Lord, help us to overcome every habit that prevents us from hearing your voice. Most of all Lord, in 2023 let no revelation drop to the ground, help us to build it up precept by precept (Isaiah 28:10) until the fabric of your purpose is accomplished in our lives. In Jesus name. Amen
