Matthew 28:9‭-‬10 NKJV

And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.”

Key Phrase: Powerful First Words

Still on Easter and the significance of the ressurection to all who believe.

There are so many important messages that we can glean from the Easter reflections; from the cross of calvary to the empty tomb – it is victory all the way. However, this week, I want us to focus on the very first words our Lord Jesus spoke after the resurrection, very instructive.

Three statements I wish to anchor this week’s nuggets on, and none are circumstantial or conditional, they don’t depend on the time of day;
•”Rejoice” – The Lord has issued a simple yet profound commandment. “Rejoice”!
•”Do not be afraid” – The Lord provides a deep assurance that in Him, fear has no place.
•”Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me.” – The Lord was saying, go ahead, you’ll see me waiting at the destination. Pause and reflect for a moment what this instruction / promise means for us today….. As long as we are in located in the place of our purpose, He will be there!

Father, we thank you for the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, we thank you for the power we have through Christ. Lord, in every circumstance teach us to Rejoice and resist the spirit of Fear. Most of all Lord, we ask for your leading, that we may be found only in our places of destiny and most importantly that we will see Christ there, perfecting our purpose. In Jesus name. Amen
