Fret less, Trust more

Psalms 37:5-8 NKJV

Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, And your justice as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, Because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret—it only causes harm.

Key Phrase:  Fret less, Trust more

Trust is defined as “reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing”

There are some traits or characteristics of the one who we put our trust in…and all these can be found in God the Father.
•Reliable : whom there is no variation or shadow of turning. (James 1:16)
•Strength: Power belongs to God (Psalm 62:11)
•Ability: is anything too hard for the LORD? ( Gen 18:14)
•Surety:  Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Heb 11:8)

Why then do we fret and worry? Why then do we constrain God to the limit of our finite imaginations? This week,  God is saying to someone “Trust me, it’ll be OK”

Father, please turn every thing causing us to fret into subjects of praise and thanksgiving. Lord, give us a heart that trusts in you no matter the circumstance.  Most of all Lord, grant us wisdom to trust & wait on you until our Joy is full. In Jesus name. Amen
