Genesis 12:1‭-‬3 NKJV

Now the Lord had said to Abram: “Get out of your country, From your family And from your father’s house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall blessed.


Key Phrase: Promises kept

When Abram left home on the instructions from God, he left with one asset in his back pocket – a promise of God’s blessings.

One thing that you can take to the bank is God’s promise to bless. Proverbs 10:22 tells us that His blessings makes us rich and adds no sorrow. So when you know the voice of God and He says “I will bless you”, know for sure that He means it, know for sure He will bring it to pass, in His time, which is the best time.

Back to Abraham; did God keep His promises?
I will show you a land – kept
I will make you a great nation – kept
I will bless you – kept
I will make your name great – kept
You shall be a blessing – kept
I will bless those who bless you – kept
I will curse him who curses you – kept
In you all the families of the earth shall blessed- kept
Every promise kept.

Father, let this be a season of remembrance for every outstanding blessing. Lord, mark me afresh for new blessings today. Most of all Lord, teach us to recognise your voice, to recognise your promises and to faithfully be in the place of our destiny until the appointed time of our blessing. In Jesus name. Amen
